Who is the Agile Engineer

I am a highly experienced Electrical Engineer with nearly three decades of hands-on expertise in industrial engineering, automation, and asset management. I have progressed from a maintenance technician to Engineering Improvement Manager, combining deep technical knowledge with strategic leadership. I am strongly driven by the principle of safety by design, and I take pride in delivering reliable, compliant, and innovative engineering solutions while mentoring others and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

My technical background spans electrical, mechanical, and control engineering, with extensive experience designing and maintaining systems compliant with BS and EN standards. I specialise in control system architecture, functional safety design to BS EN 13849, and electrical system design to BS EN 60204 and BS7671. I have worked extensively with PLC, HMI, and SCADA platforms including Siemens, Allen-Bradley, and Wonderware, alongside AC/DC motor control systems, industrial vision systems, robotics, and CAD design using SolidWorks Electrical and 3D mechanical tools.

In addition to traditional industrial engineering skills, I bring strong capability in modern digital and manufacturing technologies. I am an experienced Python programmer with exposure to machine learning and AI applications, and I actively apply data-driven methods for root cause analysis and reliability improvement. I also have hands-on experience with additive manufacturing technologies such as FDM and SLS 3D printing. This blend of legacy engineering expertise and emerging technology allows me to bridge operational engineering with innovation, delivering safe, efficient, and future-ready solutions.
